Data Center Site Manager (Hosting)

Position Summary:
The Data Center Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the physical and operational infrastructure at a facility hosting customer servers, virtual machines, and dedicated equipment. The role ensures full service availability, physical and logical security, optimal operation of the data center environment, and fast and efficient response to faults and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily operational management of the data center – physical servers, network equipment, storage, power, and cooling systems.
  • Full responsibility for service availability in accordance with customer SLAs.
  • Coordination and execution of equipment installations, relocations, migrations, and upgrades for clients.
  • Ongoing collaboration with IT teams, technical support, system engineers, and business customers.
  • Supervision of monitoring systems, access control, security cameras, fire detection and suppression systems.
  • Compliance with information security procedures and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) – if applicable.
  • Management of on-site technical/support staff – tasks, shifts, and on-call schedules.
  • Oversight of external vendors (electrical, HVAC, infrastructure contractors).
  • Preparation of operational and maintenance reports, including periodic reporting to management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing data centers or hosting infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with networking equipment (Switches, Routers), physical servers, and storage systems (SAN/NAS).
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Linux/Windows) – strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of electrical infrastructure, power backup (UPS), and precision cooling (CRAC/Precision cooling).
  • Relevant education – Practical Engineer/Engineer in Information Systems, Infrastructure, or related fields.
  • High-level English – technical and verbal/written communication.
